Michelle Strauss is a private real estate developer, native to the Pacific Northwest. She is a fourth generation American with family members who have served in the Army, Navy, Marines and as first responders. She is also related to President Warren G. Harding. Her athletic interests are fencing, equestrian sports and falconry. As a member of the Board for The Patton Foundation she has traveled extensively with Helen Patton, granddaughter of General George S. Patton, Jr., speaking with military and political leaders as well as with veterans and their families. A few years ago she formed Patton Legacy Sports, a nonprofit organization specifically recognizing his athletic and Olympic legacy. Recognized within the International Union of Modern Pentathlon (UIPM) family as a former Modern Pentathlon World Cup organizer. In the United States, her interests involve growing the sport of Modern Pentathlon as a member of the Board of Trustees for the USA Modern Pentathlon Foundation.
